Gwenn Clayton - Online Life Coach

Do you want to find an online life coach?

If so I can help you move from midlife crisis to midlife success if that is what you want most.

Here's a little background about me.

By my early thirties I had achieved pretty much everything I'd ever wished for: - A highly paid, successful career as a "top personal development coach" working in global companies like Lever Brothers, IBM, Scott Paper, Diversey, and ICI.

I worked in Europe and the US.I had a beautiful five bedroomed home with a swimming pool overlooking the sea, a loving husband and two beautiful young children, a fantastic nanny and health and energy galore.

Then things changed, or should I say, I then changed things…

Eight years ago, after our second child, our daughter, was born, I decided to stop travelling, work from home and experience more of the joys of motherhood. I stopped coaching and decided to set up a new business that I could run from home. That business failed. The failure and financial costs involved threw me into what I now know was midlife crisis. We could only just afford to pay the bills.

I managed to pick myself up and set up another business. Two years of very hard work again resulted in little income. By then, no other words for it, I felt "a failure". I had failed twice and had spent seven years doing so.

Despite having years of experience coaching people out of crises I couldn’t bring myself to coach my way out of how I was feeling and the 'failure label' stayed. My bookshelves were packed with valuable "how to" books, files, seminar notes - materials worth thousands of dollars but I just couldn’t bear to read any of them. My "failure" in one area - work and income- was affecting how I felt about EVERYTHING else.

While my financial situation was making me feel miserable, many of my friends, now in their forties, were also having some form of midlife crisis. I was not on my own. Their relationship with their partner was not what they wanted. They didn't like the way they looked. Their children were a source of stress. They were worried about not having enough money for the future; they didn't like their job. It might just be one thing. Often it was several….

As I thought about how many people experience some form of midlife crisis I began to ask, "Where do you go to get answers to your midlife questions? Where do you go to get help? Where do you go to change the way you feel?

It was then that I realised that I myself, had all the information I needed, to help me turnaround my own unique midlife crisis! My experience as a top performance coach had given me all the tools I would ever need. I had simply lacked the motivation to apply my knowledge.

I had various issues to address - a job/career/ income, finding the purpose of my life, my fitness levels, my pension…It got worse. As I began to write my dad became ill. He was diagnosed with lung cancer but died after a short illness. My mum who had Alzheimer's had to come to live with us…

It took me six months. In between caring for my husband and two kids, running the house, grieving for my dad and looking after my elderly mother and all her affairs I read everything I could to bring myself back up to date in the areas of personal change. Eventually I put together a program I called "How to Stop Your Midlife Crisis …NOW". When the writing was complete I was delighted. The critical question was had it worked for me? In short the answer was 'yes'.

By the time I had finished my last assignment not only had my "sense of failure" completely gone but I had a number of new successes under my belt. Most importantly I was now clear that my purpose in life was to help others turn the midlife crisis they were experiencing into midlife success. I felt terrific. I was 'back on track' with the motto 'never, ever give up…'

I gave the program I had written away for free to many of my midlife friends. They were so thrilled with the changes they made in their own lives they kept telling their friends about it. As more and more people asked could they have a copy I finally decided to publish it on the internet to make it easy for anyone to experience the same benefits.I also set up this website so that I could provide an online life coach service and connect with people worldwide.
